A workshop surrounded by rolling fields, woodlands and horses grazing is where Nicola's furniture comes to life.
"The workshop is my own little sanctuary," says Nicola. 'It's a place where I can shut myself away with the mindfulness of my surroundings and the sounds from the flowing water."
Floor to ceiling windows frame the rolling Gasson Farm fields and, to the west, a view of the rambling stream and stone bridge acts as inspiration for furniture design and upholstery ideas.
Nicola adds: "The colours and textures of the changing seasons gives me an ever-changing source of ideas for new and upcoming pieces."
"The winter weather of rain or snow, viewed through the large southern windows, can direct me towards the use of woollen or felt fabrics, while the bright summer sunshine can draw me to linens or cool cottons."
